The Classic City Rotary in conjunction with Athens Resonates and the Vic Chesnutt Songwriter of the Year Awards (Vic Awards) will host its first ever Athens Songwriters' Forum on Thursday, January 16, 2025 from 8-10 p.m. at Ciné in downtown Athens.
This event will showcase the incredible talent of three local songwriters while raising funds for Nuci’s Space, the Athens Boys and Girls Club, and the Vic Awards.
Our esteemed host, Drew Vandenberg, will engage with the artists, delving into their music, inspirations, and insights in between performances. We are thrilled to feature acclaimed artists Andy LeMaster, Avery Draut –Night Palace, and Elijah Johnston.
In addition to the live audience experience, the entire event will be filmed and recorded for an online viewing and archival purposes, creating a valuable repository of these artists and their perspectives. This initiative not only amplifies
the voices of our local musicians but also preserves their contributions for future generations.
