WENDEKINO FILM FESTIVAL - NOVEMBER 6-11

Commemorating the 20th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall, Cine and the UGA Department of Germanic & Slavic Studies present: WENDEKINO: CINEMA OF POLITICAL TRANSFORMATION: THE FALL OF THE BERLIN WALL & THE REVOLUTIONS OF 1989 IN GERMAN AND EASTERN EUROPEAN FILM

The film line-up includes KOLYA (Czech Republic, 1996), WINTER ADÉ (East Germany, 1988), BERLIN IS IN GERMANY (Germany, 2001), 12:08 EAST OF BUCHAREST (Romania, 2006), THE LEGEND OF RITA (Germany, 2000), and SILENT COUNTRY (Germany, 1992). Films will be introduced by Germanic & Slavic and Theater & Film Studies Faculty.
