Join us for a special encore community presentation of this new documentary feature exploring the growing privatization of public schools and the resulting impact on America’s most vulnerable children.

Directed by New York kindergarten teacher Sarah Mondale, and narrated by Matt Damon, this thought-provoking film was filmed in Philadelphia, New Orleans, Nashville and other cities, throughout the tumultuous 2013-14 school year, exposing the world of corporate-driven education “reform” where public education -- starved of resources -- hangs in the balance.

Proceeds from the October 25th premiere screening benefited these local education charities: Athens Anti-Discrimination Movement, Athens Land Trust, Athens Peer Court, AthFest Educates, Awesome Clubhouse @ La Escuelita, Books For Keeps, Chess and Community, Clarke County Mentor Program, Experience UGA, Family Connection/Communities in Schools, FoodBank, The Foundation For Excellence, Seed Life Skills, Strong Girls, U-Lead Athens, and Young Designers Program. Please support these folks doing great educational work in our community!
