The Athens Film Arts Institute (“AFAI”), more widely known as Ciné, is seeking applicants for Executive Director of the non-profit Ciné movie theater and arts institute. Ciné’s mission is to enrich the quality of life in Athens, GA, by presenting film and arts that inspire, educate, and build community.
Successful candidates will have experience with managing non-profit enterprises or small businesses; additional experience with film and/or arts programming, publicity, fundraising and/or grant writing preferred. Executive Director duties include film programming, operations oversight, fundraising, community outreach, and working with the AFAI Board of Directors. This position assumes a full-time commitment to Ciné. The position includes three weeks (15 working days) of paid time off annually. Salary and health benefits are negotiable; beginning salary range is $38,000 - $45,000, depending on qualifications.
