PSYCHO  [ 1960, 109min ] One of the most shocking films of all time, PSYCHO has become a cultural phenomenon. More than just a first-rate suspense thriller, the film is also an engrossing character study as the impulsive Marion Crane (Janet Leigh) stops off at the Bates Motel and falls prey to one of cinema's most notorious psychopaths - Norman Bates (Anthony Perkins). Featuring one of the most iconic scenes in film history - the famous "shower scene", PSYCHO is still terrifying after all these years.
NOTORIOUS [ 1946, 102min ] Ingrid Bergman plays the American daughter of a convicted Nazi spy who is recruited by a U.S. government agent (Cary Grant) to infiltrate a group of Germans living in Brazil after WWII. Her assignment: to marry the suspected head of the ring (Claude Rains) and get the goods on everyone involved. As their lives become intimately entangled, danger, deceit, betrayal, and romance come together in a nearly perfect blend as the film builds to a terrific and surprising climax.. REBECCA [ 1940, 130min ] A young woman (Joan Fontaine) believes her every dream has come true when she marries the dashing Maxim de Winter (Sir Laurence Olivier). But she soon realizes that the temperamental, brooding Maxim and the de Winter mansion, Manderley, are both haunted by Rebecca, the first Mrs. De Winter, whose recent death remains a mystery. Hitchcock's first American feature, and his first collaboration with producer David O. Selznick, this romantic, suspenseful, and elegant film won the Academy Awards for Best Picture and Best Cinematography. SPELLBOUND [ 1945, 111min ] Dr. Constance Petersen (Ingrid Bergman) is a psychiatrist with a firm understanding of human nature-or so she thinks. When the mysterious Dr. Anthony Edwardes (Gregory Peck) becomes the new chief of staff at her institution, Constance plummets into a whirlwind of tangled identities where the greatest risk is to fall in love. This transcendent love story replete with taut excitement and startling imagery features stunning performances, an Academy Award-winning score by Miklos Rozsa, and a captivating dream sequence by Surrealist icon Salvador Dali.
